Load select list options from database based on previous field in the same request form?

Hi,

I would like to host a JSD Server a portal where customers can apply for privileges in a system.

In my "<System Name>" request form, I have a custom field called "Division". It is a select list where the users may select which division he or she works in, e.g. IT or Compliance.

When the "Division" field is selected, JSD should go to the database, search for a list of privileges the user is allowed to apply, then fill the results in the next custom field "Privileges". It is a multiple choice select list where the user will be able to choose the privileges they want.

I know this cannot be achieved out-of-the-box. I have tried to look into Extension for Jira Service Desk but its dynamic form only allows conditional display of different fields, in other words it can displays field "Privileges (IT)" for IT users and "Privileges (Compliance)" for those from Compliance, but it is not exactly what I wanted. I want dynamic options from static field.

ScriptRunner also looks good but I think it supports Jira only, not Jira Service Desk.

Is there an extension that can achieve what I want, or is there a better practice to do it?
