I am looking at the installation of Jira Service Desk for a customer. At present they use CA Service Desk (sorry don't know what version). There will be a number of outstanding tickets that will need migrating to the Jira instance as I don't want to have to continue to run and manage two systems in parallel
Does anyone know if it is possible to automate the migration of tickets, knowledge base items etc. from CASM to JSD?

could you outline the # of tickets to migrate?
When we moved from OTRS to JSD we decided to leave the old tickets where they were, shutdown the abilty to create new tickets with the old system & on a case by case situation created a new ticket with a (context) link to the old system. We also let the old system running in archive mode for the customers to search for older issues.
