Has anyone successfully been able to select 'Added Organizations' in the 'To:' field in a Customer Notification?  -- I am trying to send notification on new public comment to the members of the associated organization.

According to this article it should be possible: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-desk-cloud/docs/edit-the-content-of-your-customer-notifications/

However, this option is not available when creating a Customer Notification.  The only place it appears available is in the pre-defined Customer Notification "Organization added - When a request is shared to an organization, your service desk notifies the organization's members so they can opt-in to further updates."

^that's fine and dandy, but a bit misguided; it would seem Jira intentionally restricting 'Added Organizations' from other Customer Notifications...?

Hi Joe,

So what you are seeing and understanding is absolutely correct.  I think they are trying to avoid the over-spam that would come by putting in Organizations in all the other notifications.

You can only use that "Added  Organizations" in "Organization Added".

There is a suggestion raised that you might want to add your vote to:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-4780

Hope that helps

Susan
