Priority shows up as an arrow in queue. How do I change it to show the word?

In my queue the priority shows up as a colored arrow.  How do I get the queue to show priority as a word like High, Medium or Low?   Thanks

Could you change the image of the priority arrows to an image of the words instead?

There may be a better solution, but I hope that helps.

I did create my own custom filed and it worked but I was wondering if you could change the default one JIRA has.  Thanks
