In an automation I am trying to add a custom payload in the THEN, but that option is missing.
The first picture is what I see in my Service Desk
This image with the "Send customer payload" option is from the documentation, https://developer.atlassian.com/server/jira/platform/jira-service-desk-webhooks/
How do I get the custom payload option?
Thanks,
Tim
Hi Tim,
The ability to "send a custom payload in your automation webhook" has only recently been introduced in Jira Service Desk Server 4.1, are you by chance still running an older release?
You can read more about these 'Smarter automation webhooks' in the Jira Service Desk 4.1 release notes:
We know that automation is key to a highly productive service desk because it takes care of repetitive tasks, so agents don't have to. We're pleased to announce that you can now send custom payloads to third-party web services, with our new and improved automation webhooks.
Whether you want to post a message in a Slack channel when an SLA is about to be breached, or SMS a team lead when a major incident takes place... the choices are endless. To learn more about this feature check out Send alerts with Jira Service Desk webhooks.
Cheers,
Steffen

Hi @Tim Peters -- I would love to chat with you. We're looking at adding this functionality on JSD Cloud, and would love to learn more about what you're looking to accomplish. It doesn't look like I can send you a message here, so would you be able to send an email to amaresh.ray [at] atlassian.com with your availability?
