We are trying to send a webhook to a chat application to notify us when an issue is resolved. We would like to include the name of the person who resolved the issue.
We select custom payload, and include the variable ${event.user.name} and have the automation rule set to run as the user who triggered the action. The webhook is sent, but this field is always blank.
Also, in the "Send Jira issue as payload" option, there is a lot more information that gets sent that we would like to have access to in the custom payloads rather than just the few that are available in the drop-down.
Could you please let us know why the name field always seems to be blank and how come it would seem that we can't access more variables in the custom payload?
If using more variables in the custom payload is not currently possible, could you please consider it for a future release?
Thanks.
Hi Kaamil,
Thanks so much for your question.
This looks like a bug in the software as it should be behaving as you expected. We have raised a ticket for our team to look into. You can track the status of this ticket here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-6929
Thank you,
