I am trying to create a custom email address in our service desk. I want to use our existing support email address and it is a Microsoft address. I put in the address and password but get the following error:
Your connection was unsuccessful
Unfortunately, JIRA couldn't connect to the mail server. Here is what the mail server said:
"AUTHENTICATE failed."
How do I fix this?
Hi @Richard Morgan ,
Can you please cofirm that you are trying this custom email address for single project or globallyglovally for outgoing email you are trying to trigger this.
Thanks
Best regards

Um... it's not for a project. It's for a service desk I set up. We are using it as an IT help desk. We want users to be able to able our old email address and it be used for this service desk. I am sorry I don't really understand your question.
