Hi there,
Is there a way to create a linked issue from the Jira Service Desk portal to another Jira instance?
We have the following setup:
Now we want to have the possibility to create a linked issue from the service desk instance to the other Jira instance. We created an application link between the two server installation, but unfortunately we don't see the jira projects from the other Jira instance.
We see that your cloud solution has the possibility to create jira ticket from the service desk portal. Would be nice if we have the same feature on a server installation.
Best regards,
Andreas
The app Elements Copy & Sync might be the solution you are looking for.
You can read here about some of the different ways you can use the app to either copy, link, or synchronize information between Jira Service Desk and Jira Core.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Your question is something like:
How can I travel to X location?
I can tell you at least 10 different options about how to do it. Give more details of what you want, how you want it and how much are you willing to invest.

Another thing, I would recommend to use the same instance. I would only separate for 2 scenaries i can think right now:
Licensing: For example, you require a plugin feature for only 3 users of JSD and you have unlimited Jiora software users (but before doing it contact the vendors to see if you have any alternative)
Security: and I'm talking about incredibly high secure data which could compromise sensitive information and implies legal problems. But there are options to secure data using plugins and having very good IT guys in your organization which could avoid the need of doing it
