Hello - we're fairly new to Jira, and notice that in many of the web forms for the projects, the associated customer name is not available. Is there a way to display the customer name more, modify the form, add columns, etc.? Otherwise, we need to put the name into the Project name, which isn't a very eloquent solution.
Thanks,
Mike
Hi @Michael Bilotta - welcome to the community!
Are you looking to modify the fields your customers see on the JSM portal?
You can modify your customer request forms by going to Project Settings > Request Types > Click the pencil button to edit the Customer Request Form. Like this:
For more tailored forms, you can check out ProForma Lite (free up to three form templates) to add fields, columns, conditional logic, etc. It may give you what you need.
This is a screenshot of proformademo.thinktilt.com where you can have a play with the form builder without any login.
Does any of that help?
Thanks, Peter. This post is specifically targeting Jira's displaying of customers connected to a project. I believe this product (ProForma Lite) is a forms customization tool, which, in concept, should allow us to add a customer fields. That capability also relates to data structures, the tool, and the specific form in question. But overall, very helpful. Thanks!
