Hi,
When a service desk customer (or an administrator) create an issue on the portal, the definition appears : OK
But when i change the issue type (because the customer openned the issue in the wrong type, it always happen), the definition disapear. So, the customer can't see the description anymore : NOK
It's really important and annoying. I have a lot of customer who complains about that because they can't see their contract number anymore in the description, for example.
Please help me, how can i fix it ?
For information, i use the Jira Cloud and not server.
Guillaume

JT

Hello @Jean-Théo [Adaptavist]
Thanks for your answer.
I talk about issue type and not request type.
I explain more in details.
When a request is created on the portal, it create an issue in Jira :
Here, for example, when a request type " Demander un rapport " is created, the issue type "rapport SF" is created.
My problem : the description disapear when i change the issue type (because some clients opened the wrong request type, so it create the wrong issue type) as explained on my first message.
Thanks for your help,
Guillaume

Hello @guillaume fischer and welcome to the community!
Are you talking about issue type here or about request type? Because they are not exactly the same thing !
If you are talking about the request type, the first thing you should do is validate that the target Request type (the one you change it to) has the description field displayed in the portal.
To verify this, you must go to your project settings > Request Types > "Target request type" > Edit fields. And then you can make sure the description is present for all your Request types.
Hope this helps, let me know if this doesn't fix your issue so I can assist you further!
