Hello,
We have Jira Software, Jira Service Desk and Confluence integrated with a Crowd server.
They all are Server and installed in our infrastructure.
We have added a customer to a basic Service Desk project, but the user cannot login.
When we go to the User Management page, there is no option for allowing portal only access. I already spent more several hours looking into permissions, documentation, etc. to no avail. I think there should be a "Service Desk" option in the user management screen, But we don't have that option,
How do we enable Portal only access so that the customer can log in and access the service desk portal??
The setting for this is on the service desk project. Go to the project settings --> Customer Permissions page.
You will either have it set to allow customers added to the project, all users on the jira site, or anyone can email.
If you are using Customers Added to the project, you probably need to add this user to the Service Desk Customers project role. They do not need anything under application access in order to just use the portal.
Hello, the project settings --> Customer Permissions shows:
The user has the "Service Desk Customers" user Role:
But the user can't login!
The user account information shows:
when I go to the Project portal page, I am requested to login and I am not allowed to login.
No matter how many times I change the password and answer captchas.
According to the notice in the image, the user will not be able to login until added to an application. I think there should be an option for the portal only in the "Application Access" section above. But I can't find a way to enable this.
Help?
