When I signed up for Jira it asked me to choose a team URL, however for whatever reason it didn't save so now I seem to be stuck with the "team-34287429837.atlassian.net" domain.
Is there some way I can go back and choose the URL or get someone from customer support to do it for me?
Hi Josh,
Are you adding Jira Service Management to an existing Jira Software instance ? Or a brand new Jira Service Management instance?
Adding to an existing instance means you don't get to choose the instance name. Otherwise you should be able to.
Otherwise , what Jack said is correct. If you want to change the name/URL of an existing instance because you already set it all up, best to contact support or even product advocates if you're still in evaluation.
Hope this helps!

This was a brand new Jira account. This whole thing seems a bit backwards to me at the moment. I essentially need support to fix the account before I am willing to pay for the subscription as I might need to migrate it, but I can't get support to fix it without getting the subscription?

Hi Josh,
I spoke to one of our product advocates. They said they cannot find an instance URL of team-34287429837.atlassian.net.
Best is to submit a support ticket, explain your situation and that youre open to becoming a paid user after we help you with your site name.

Sorry, that wasn't the actual link just an example of what format it was in. The actual link is team-1611918489844.atlassian.net
Would you mind pinging them again with that? Thanks :)

They are now offline , based in Europe.
Are you able to raise a support ticket, that would be the quickest thing for you to do anyway, instead of having them raise it on your behalf. Cut the middle man ;)
Let me know how you go!

the only way to change the host URL is via Atlassian Support. Unfortunately as you are on free you don't have access to support. Still you might reach out the billing group and see if they could assist.

I've just tried again with a new account and had the same issue I did the first time. When I click continue after setting a name it just says I don't have permission.
I'm really hoping I can get this resolved without needing to re-create my account as I've already set most of it up and clearly this is due to a system fault on Jiras end.
