How to automatically add customers in Jira Service Desk via Elements Connect e-mail field?

Hi @Hasta la vista ,

I'm Nicolas from the Elements team.

If you want to use the "Add customers" feature from Jira Service Desk, you need to find the corresponding method into their APIs. Indeed, what you show in your screenshot is not just a field in which you could copy a value from an Elements Connect field.

I've found this, but it's for Cloud, and it's the REST API: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/service-desk/rest/api-group-customer/#api-rest-servicedeskapi-customer-post

But... maybe the method is the same for Server. And maybe there is a similar method for the Java API. I'm not sure about that, sorry. Maybe you could ask to Atlassian Support ?

In all cases, what you need to do is to retrieve the email from the Elements Connect field (with our API) and use it as parameter into the relevant method from the Jira Service Desk API you will have found.
