Hi,
is there any way to interface JIRA Service Desk with an existing web site?
What I would love to do is accept a ticket via a form on my PHP web site and process it via JIRA Service Desk. Maybe a REST API would help.

you can do by REST, Create a JIRA ticket using REST from PHP, then process it via JIRA service desk.

I've been able to find the REST API documentation, but only for JIRA, not JIRA Service Desk. Now I've also found https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSD-107that seems to confirm the fact.
