Hi, We are looking to procure Jira for service management and have a following question on its capability:
We are going to configure JIRA to auto create tickets if an email is being sent to a particular email address e.g. help@blah.com. Now lets say a user sends an email to someone@blah.com but to create a ticket, they will have to send that email to help@blah.com, however can JIRA log that ticket against the first from:external email address found within the email rather than logging it against an internal employee?
We are using Outlook and we have "Jira Cloud for Outlook" plugin so instead of forwarding email, we click Jira Cloud "Create issue" button in Outlook and you can edit the reporter field from there before creating issue. If reporter field is not available, you should check the create issue screen for that issue type.

If you are using Outlook too, it should work for you too.
