Push Notification Uncaught exception thrown by REST service

Soheil Gharedaghi April 1, 2020

Hi mates.

I'm just installed and configured Mobile for the Jira Service desk portal plugin.

When the user opens Jira Server app in his mobile ( I think trying to register for push notification) Jira throw this messages in the log file :

/rest/nativemobile/1.0/push-notification/registration [c.a.p.r.c.error.jersey.ThrowableExceptionMapper] Uncaught exception thrown by REST service: Create push notification endpoint is unsuccessful with an error message: status code: 401 and entity:

com.atlassian.mobile.commons.notification.exception.MobilePushNotificationException: Create push notification endpoint is unsuccessful with error message: status code: 401 and entity

-----

I have to say that I've checked firewall settings and everything looks good but there's no notification on the user side.

Regards.

Hi Soheil,

Thanks so much for your question.

A 401 error suggests that the client is not authenticated to the server. Do you know if the user was logged in to Jira at the time this error occurred?

Can I ask you to clarify if the user receives any push notifications, or do you just see this error in the server logs?

Thank you,

Aidan
