We work with Jira service desk, is it possible to automatically read a PDF sent by the customer? So, name, address and such information to be filled in the fields of Jira SD?

Pretty sure this is neither possible atm nor planned. Especially since PDF is open in how it is structured, not like f.e. excel, I cannot imagine this to be programmed as an app either.
A easier way would be to use the helpdesk portal and just have the customer fill the fields themselfs, they can even attach the pdf there.
ok with the Help Desk is a good tip but I don't think it is very applicable, would it be possible to read the e-mail?

@Kai KrafftThis should be possible. Go to Projectsettings -> Automation -> New rule.
Then there should already be a rule template to pre-select email requests on content.
