Hi,
Is it possible that a user create an issue for a group?
The group needs to get notified that an issue was created and what status the issue got now and later on.
Kind Regards
Mathias
Hello,
You should add this group for the Create Issues and Generic events in the project notification scheme.
You can find more info about notificaiton schemes here:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/creating-a-notification-scheme-861253478.html
This seems like a workaround. Isn´t it possible to add the group or all of the members as watchers for the issue?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
It is not a workaround. It is the right way to do it.
To add watchers is a workaround. If you have a group of users, who must receive the same notificaitons as watchers, you should create a role in Jira and add the required group to this role. Then add this role for the same events as for watchers in the project notification scheme .
You can not add a group as a watcher. You can only add users. That 's why you would need to write a script to get all users from this group and add them to watchers. And it is a more complicated solution than to change the project notification scheme.

Okay I will try this out and hopefully get the right result.
Thanks

I don´t want to sent the notification every time to the whole group. We have 1 project und many different teams in this project. Is it still possible to configure the notifications right. I can´t find it..

If you tell me exactly, what you want. I will tell you how to do it. There are events in the project notification scheme, just put this group in front of the correct events. If this notification scheme is used in many projects, but you want to make changes only for one project, then you can create a separate notificaiton scheme for this project or use roles as I wrote in my previous comment.

Okay I will try my best.
We have 1 project the xxx-helpdesk.
In this project we have about 140 customers and about 10-20 relevant teams/groups.
Person A, B, C and D are in Team A. Now Person A opens an issue that affects Team A. The members of Team A should get notified that an issue for Team A was created. It should also be possible for the members of Team A to see the issue and comment it.
Hopefully I explained that alright.
Kind Regards
Mathias

Now I got it. You need a scripting add-on to do it. What do you have?
