Hi,
I'm new to JSD and I'm trying to configure it to use instead of an old ticketing system.
I have some customer information in the filed 'Customer' that goes from the database. (JSD1.png)
When I customer raises a request from the portal I neet that the filed 'Customer' will be filled automatically.
Is there any possibility (ora automation ) to link the Organization (or Customer) with my 'Customer' field?
Thanks in advance.
Why do you need to popular that field? If your customers who are raising tickets are part of an organisation then after you receive the ticket you can always filter the tickets based on reporter's organisation using organizationMembers(). Take a look at this page.
I hope it helps.
Ravi
I Ravi,
thanks for your replay. I'll try to explain the situation better.
I have an external database called 'Clienti' where we stored all information about customers. The main information plus every other information that we need ( we are a software house). For example, the type of products, licence, ftp access information and so on.
Now we are introducing JSD to manage our customer service. I need to have two functions:
1. I want our customer to open a ticket using JSD customer portal
2. I want to import from 'Client' the information about customers.
For sure I need that customer that open a ticket using portal match with customer information imported from 'Clienti'
Hoping to be more clear, thanks in advance.

Hi @Mike Donnarumma ,

I hope you can achieve your usecase

Tnx Aja I'll try it.
Ok in this way the organization is created by checking the email.
How can I make another step to link the organization to my field 'Customer' that is imported from 'Clienti' ?

Adding steps in automation for Jira rule is simple. Please follow the instructions and you should be able to write your custom automation rule
