Hi all,

I have looked through the web and forum and have been using Jira since version 4.  I noticed there is a issue https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-3821 to support it that has over 2,500 votes.

To be more specific an installation with both JSD and Jira Software in cloud (or in onPrem too would be nice) to be able to customize the priority list.  In particular to not show certain priorities for a give project.

P1 - all priorities

P2 - only high and low

P3 - High, low, and medium

Or whatever.  I know the background and that it has been asked for since I started using Jira.   I figured with that much attention there would be someone who would write a plugin to do it.

Is one out there?

My immediate need would be clud JSD but I will probably have other customers that have a different setup.

Thanks in advance,

Robert

Every version of Jira has the ability to customise the priority list.

But.

For versions below 7.6 (please forgive me if it's 7.4 or 7.8, I don't memorise release notes) and on Cloud, the priority field is global.  It has the same list of values across all projects.  Server/DC above 7.6 have "priority schemes", but Cloud does not.

There's no way to change it with an app, it's a system field.

Hi Nic,

There is always a way :).  Even if some type of interface riding with the cloud system in the background or javascript or something to just not see the priorities you do not want.

But I will take it that no one has found a back door yet.

Thank you and as always truly appreciate your speed in response.  Fastest Atlassian answer in the west :-)

I'm afraid Cloud won't let you inject javascript, and some browser plugin to do it would be a nightmare to write (to cover all the places you can change it in the UI, even before you add apps or use REST) and maintain, let alone demand all your users install it and keep it up to date.
