Hello.
We have a service desk model which is billable by consumed hours. Under this model, at the end of the month we invoice the customer the amount of hours dedicated.
So, the agents and collaborators log time under service requests and at the end of the month, we need to generate a report with all dedicated time by request.
Additionally, some service desk projects should be constrained to a pre-contracted amount of available hours, so getting a report that displays consumed, dedicated and available hours would be very helpful too.
I took a look at Jira Service Desk reports, but I can't find one for dedicated time on a time-period basis.
Kindly, do you know how could we address this to satisfy our business requirement?
Hello @[deleted]
unfortunately, a time report spanning a chosen time period is not directly available in Jira. I can recommend a cheap and easy to use app that we have developed - Worklogs - Time Reports for Jira. It allows you to generate time reports using multiple criteria, including a total time spent in a project for any given time range. This is how it looks like
The app is available for all deployment options - Jira Cloud, Jira Server and Jira Data Center and is compatible with Jira Service Desk too.
Best regards,
Sebastian
Thanks Sebastian, definitively I'll give it a try

It looks nice, I'd suggest a feature to be able to edit every single time log. Sometimes, users make a mistake, put a wrong value or forgot to record time. However, reporting works great.

Thank you for the suggestion @[deleted]
Since removing/editing time logs is already available in Jira, we didn't really consider adding it to Worklogs. Do you think it would help, so that users can manage everything from one page?
Best,
Sebastian

Hello Sebastian.
The editing feature is lacking on Jira Service Desk, the place where we need it. Or at least we can't figure it out yet. Only logging, not editing or deletion.
Thannks.
