Fulltext search under My requests / Requests page

I am not quite sure if that is supposed to work that way, but on a Requests page (the top right corner) - if I search only based on a fragment of the word (instead of full word) it does not seem to find the proper ticket.

Is that normal behaviour?

Hi @Matúš Klaudíny,

Try putting a * at the end of great and see if that returns the results you expect.

Well Yes, I thought that this particular search is different to those based on good old lucene. Is there any way to switch this somehow to some basic-text search type of thing?

Hi @Matúš Klaudíny

You can extend the Requests page using an add-on, like the one we created - Advanced Portal Reports. There you can search by Free text search, which will find results not only in Summary field, but in all Text fields in an issue. You can also give the customers possibility to see more fields for each issue, not just the fixed ones that the standard report shows. In addition Customer can export the list of issues with the selected fields in CSV. That combined give the customers more powers in what to see, how to search and how to report on Portal requests.

Regards,

Boyan
