Right now a common practice by our team is to create Linked Issues from on Service Desk to other Jira Projects. We generally use the "Link Issue" feature within a Service Desk issue and then complete the form. By default, the value selected is "causes" and pretty much 100% of the time it should be "blocks". I've gone down a few rabbit holes and can't figure it out. :)
How are your links currently set up? Mine are like so:
If i try and link from within an existing issue it defaults to 'is blocked by'
If i try and link on creation of ticket is defaults to blocks

Thanks Phil. I'm with you now and I do get the same experience you described for just linking. When I attempt to Create + Link is where the default value = causes in the form modal. Do you get the same result?
