Issue Type Unavailable during Request Type Creation

Calvin Senteza June 21, 2018

I've created a new Issue Type with it's own workflow, screen scheme, etc. I can see this issue type within the project settings of the Service Desk Project I am attempting to work in. However, when I attempt to create a new Request Type with this Issue Type, the Issue Type is unavailable in the drop down menu. I have created two new Issue Types with similar methods and have successfully added them as Request Types so I don't know why this third issue type is causing issues. If anyone could provide me with any help that would be much appreciated.

If an issue type you have defined does not appear in the drop-down, then it is

1) A sub-task type

2) Not in the issue type scheme that the project is configured for

It seems that on the Issue Type Scheme, even though I had added the issue type to the project I had not clicked on the "Publish" Button at the top of the screen. Though the Issue Type then appeared in the project clicking on the "Publish" Button seems to be where I went wrong. Thanks for the information.

Hello,

Is it a subtask issue type?

No, it is a Standard Issue Type.
