Jira updating comments in another project

Hello,

We have multiple projects but have been having issues where an e-mail was with one project/group(A) but somewhere along the line it ends up with another project/group (B). Once the mail hits group B, it starts updating the ticket with Group A.

Is there a way to prevent this and make sure that if it's sent to Group B it updates the ticket with Group B?

Hello Ryan,

The feature that determine which project a ticket should be created/edited when sending an e-mail is the receiving e-mail address.

that being said, To check which is your project e-mail address, you can navigate to your service Desk project > Project Settings > Email Requests.

Hello,

This is for Server nor Cloud, sorry about the confusion. Each project has it's own unique e-mail address being used, they are not shared.
