Within our JIRA Service Desk project we've discovered that all agents can manually add in Customers and organisations (on the lhs labelled customers). Is this something that can be limited through global permissions? Or a permission scheme? We'd like to stop people manually adding in a customer!
Hi Hollie,
On Server there is a global configuration where you can turn that off. Go to Applications - Jira service desk - configuration.
You will see this:
That is good to know! I did not find that in the docs but search was brief and I found the JAC issue. So I actually just checked on my cloud instance and see the same capability. So I’m assuming the issue is that even if you select the option as shown the agents could still create customers but not within an org. Is that your understanding?

That's great thank you! That's managed to stop the creation of organisations, but not customers, so that's half the battle! Thanks!

Hi Hollie,
currently you cannot prevent agents from creating customers. there is an open suggestion for this - JSDSERVER-5463
and for any cloud user that stop by here there is a similar request - JSDCLOUD-5640
