We have currently no link between our Service Desk project and our confluence Knowledge Base. As such, the is not need/point for the Service Desk portal customers to search for anything, and we actually do not want them to search. We just want them to be able to open tickets.
Is it possible to completely remove the search capability from the Service Desk Portal?

The search options has nothing to do with the knowledge base.
If you want to remove the search bar, you can do this with this free add-on
Right know there is no other option.

you can disable it globaly
