Timer works while page is opened, possibly in different tab, and should be restarted when you come back to the page, if you leave it. Please see https://primetimesheet.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/blog/2020/06/09/1235877889/Start+work+automatically also and open support request at https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/6/group/31 if still needed.
