I made some issue changes in Jira admin and now anytime I edit an issue, it requires a resolution status. How can I undo/remove that requirement?

I´ve faced same problem on Jira cloud using scrum project template.
Please check the screens where the resolution field is used. Remove it from e.g. your default screen:
