Resource Planning for People and Machine

Hi, 

I was wondering if there is an app for resource planning. We are a machine shop and we receive work request on our Jira service management portal. 

When we receive the request, we need to book a timeslot for a machine and assign the task to a machinist. We need to have a calendar for each machine to make sure we don't double book the same machine and a calendar for each technician so that they can see their daily schedule.

You can probably achieve this by doing some customisation but I think Tempo planner can help you achieve something similar. Do give it a try.

You may try ActivityTimeline, we have recently released a new feature, that allows to create & plan work for non-human resources, like machines or equipment, and they will be reflected on the timeline along with human resources. Disclaimer: I am a part of the ActivityTimeline’s team.
