We use JIRA v7.2.7 and our customers use JIRA Service Desk (3.2.7).
When I create a JIRA issue, I can format a text in Description, but my customer cannot see it. He sees only one big text string wrapped, there is no formatting even no paragraphs (!), I mean "new line", CRLF.
There is terrrible readability for this field, same for field Resolution description.

I know your question has been here for awhile. I wonder if your problem has been resolved yet. Have you tried upgrading Jira to a newer version? Jira 7.2.7 and JSD 3.2.7 are pretty old and these issues might go away after an upgrade.
