Hi
I just signed up for a free trial of jira ServiceDesk.
We are already using jira software, and are looking for a ServiceDesk option to handle both change requests and support issues.
So far I really like the functionality - but the web page is so incredibly slow that it takes extremely long to load any page, and it times out quite often.
Is that normal, is this the performance I can expect if we decide to upgrade and switch to a paid plan?
Thanks for any feedback or experiences.
Regards
Birte
Hi @Birte Herder Johansson , Daniel from Atlassian support here!
We dropped support for Internet Explorer earlier this year (as many other SaaS providers have as well). You can see which browsers we currently support on this knowledgebase article but the latest version of Chrome is definitely a "yes".
Performance between the Free plan and a paid plan shouldn't really differ, so if something is not loading correctly in Chrome we'd like to know! The first time the interface loads can be slow depending on your connection, as there's a lot of Javascript and other resources that need to be cached. If you happened to use a page load timer extension in Chrome, having an idea of how long it's taking to load might give us an idea between "normal" and "problem". Several extensions can give you a breakdown of the parts of the load which are helpful in determining if we can make any suggestions.
(shown: an extension shows a site took 8 seconds to process a request before sending a response to the browser)
Cheers,
Daniel
@Birte Herder Johansson Congratulations! I LOVE using JSD and I think you will, too.
Your new cloud site should not be slow like that. If it's still slow in an hour I would suggest creating a support ticket to get Atlassian to look into it for you because that is certainly not normal.

Hi
Thanks for your reply. It seems the page is way more responsive using Chrome compared to IE. Still a little slow though, but it is workable.
Unfortunately, as I am using the free trial to see if this is something we want to implement, I cannot create support tickets... bit funny.
