Solution for delegating Manager approval for request

Hi Folks,

In our work flow, once requester raised the request Manager approval is Mandatory. We are getting the manager from the AD.

we are using Deviniti(Active Directory attribute Sync) plugin to copy Manager from AD to a custom field and we have configured this particular custom field in add approver.

We are looking for a solution once Manager is out office or on leave how to delegate approval on Behalf.

Still we are not sure the way we need to do it, looking for solution in the community.

Hi Ravi,

There are a couple of ways you can do this.

1. You need to figure out a way to update the custom field which has the manager when they are on leave

2. You can use a multi-user picker custom field and pre-assign a backup for the manager.

Hi Bhushan,

Thank you for the solution. But I cannot pre assigned  approvals, Approvals are getting from the AD and assigning to field when the issue is created.

Because manager is different for each user, if we pre-assigned user, it will replicate to all apoprovals.
