import csv file with more than 255 characters column

Hello

I want to upload a csv file which contains 54 row and 15 columns,there are some records (in two columns that contain more than 255 characters some of them even more than 1000 characters). I have added 15 custom fields (with the specific names as in csv file in order to match the same naming. I'm using Attlasian Jira, my role is administrator. I think i should extend the format of some of these customs fields that I have created though some qry.Please let me know the qry or if there is another simple way
