Service Desk for IT internal projects/tasks?

Hello,

is it possible to use Service Desk for internal IT ticketing/tasks or do I need Jira Core additional to Service Desk? 

In detail: Is it possible to create some sort of projects/tickets for IT internal communication only?  

Lets say I'm team lead and want to coordinate work tasks (which are not coming from customer side) internally...

Hi Shindy, absolutely! That is one of the primary uses of JSD. In fact when you go to create the project you will see Internal IT project template you can choose. BTW, if you have JSD you actually have Core as it is the underlying code for both JSD and JSW.
