Service Desk reset password not showing error if password complexity is not met

Does anyone have any workaround or suggestions to help reduce the pain of Service Desk reset password not showing error if password complexity is not met

This issue is a real barrier to providing great customer service and makes it harder to win customers over to using the portal rather than relying on emails.

For the time being, I'd actually recommend that you disable the password enforcement in Jira to work-around this bug.

The other alternative would be to find another way to convey to end users what the password complexity requirements are beforehand. But since Service Desk does not make it easy to customizing the signup page, and the Jira announcement banner does not display on the JSD signup page, there aren't really a lot of great options around finding other ways to display this.  You could use a 3rd party plugin like Scriptrunner to customize UI login pages ask explained in Customising the UI - Adaptavist.  But if you're not already using that plugin, I realize most admins won't want to add the cost of a plugin like this to get past a bug in an Atlassian product.

This sign up page should be displaying the exact requirements and right not it's not, that's our bug and we are tracking it in a couple of different tickets:

That is why I would recommend you set the password policy in Jira to disabled.  This way, users can create their account with any password they want.  Steps to do this are in Manage password security.  Are you in an environment that requires password complexities be set for some auditing purpose?
