Too much Basic informations with discovery tools

laurent debaix May 1, 2019

Hi everyone,

I'm new with using discovery and Insight.

after many tests I see too much basic information when I scan network printers, linux servers and switches using snmpv2, v3 and shell. The credentials are correct though. Here I present part of the logs file showing that I scan a network printer and that the credentials works, discovery is connected. But then for the same printer and when retrieving the information the credentials no longer work and I only get the basic information.

I don't think it's a normal behaviour. How could i change that?

Thanks for your response.

Hello,

I have the same problem here.

I'm in the process of evaluating Insight and Insight Discovery.

I manage to get SNMP informations from our printers.

From what I see, even with correct credentials (successfully tested on the same couple server-printer with OIDVIEW and Paessler SNMP Tester), Insight Discovery reports "No working credentials for...". No problem with other printers like Lexmark.

Version of Insight: 2.20.

If somebody of Riada come into this thread, is he/she have an explanation on this behaviour and how to resolv it?

Many thanks for your responses.
