Trigger automation rule on newly updated Component value

Hi,

I have an exiting Automation Rule in Jira Service Desk that gets triggered when the Component value is updated. We tend to have more than 1 component value. When we try to update the Component with an additional value the rule gets triggered and runs it against all the values in the Component field and not just the newly added value. Is there a way to capture the newly added value and run the rule only against that and not the entire array of values.

For eg. if my current Component = HRDept

After Update Component = HRDept, QAGrp.

Now I want to the rule to apply for the newly added value QAGrp and not both the values.

Hope I was able to make sense. This is in the Jira Service Desk client.

Thanks.

Raghavi

Hello Ragvi,

I understand that the automation rule you mentioned is performing something regarding the component field and you want it to only apply these actions to the last component added, but can you please let us know what actions the automation rule is performing once you update the Component field?

We will be waiting for your answer to have a better idea of the functionality you are looking for.
