I am behind on upgrading Jira Service Desk (Jira Service Desk Security Advisory 2019-09-18).
We also need to upgrade Jira Software and Confluence.
When upgrading Jira Software is Service Desk also upgraded or is it a separate upgrade?
If Service Desk is separate, is there an order these would need to be performed.
Versions:
JIRA Service Desk 4.2.4
Jira Software 8.2.4
Confluence 6.15.9
Thanks!
When upgrading you can sort of think of jira software and servicedesk as upgrades to jira core. So if you upgrade your Jira core, you go to Administraition > Versions and Licenses and then update Jira software and Jira Servicedesk. If you choose Jira Software then same applies but you only update Jira Service Desk and vice versa for if you do Jira Service Desk first.
If you go into your server there is a guide for updating at [DOMAIN]/plugins/servlet/troubleshooting/pre-upgrade/
Navigate by Administration > Applications > Plan Your Upgrade
This has all the steps that Atlassian suggest for you.
