Using Service Desk for end customers

eli.l July 15, 2020

Hi,

I am setting up Service desk for external end customers and have a number of issues/questions:

1) I just want them to access the service desks bug form I created and do not want them to see a "Help Center" - how can I get rid of all the Help Center references/links?

2) There is  a link in the login screen for customers to open an account for themselves - "Need an account?" Sign Up - what if I do not want customers to have this option?? I want to specifically invite customers

Thank you,

Eli

Hello @eli.l - in regards to your first question:

1) I just want them to access the service desks bug form I created and do not want them to see a "Help Center" - how can I get rid of all the Help Center references/links?

Unfortunately there's no way to remove this link in Jira Service Desk Cloud currently. We do have an open suggestion about it which you can view and vote on here: JSDCLOUD-5591

I might suggest using the embed widget if you have another help page somewhere. This would allow people to submit bugs without actually visiting Jira Service Desk. The widget has just the bare essentials for issue collection - here's an example:

@eli.l - hi Eli!

Regarding #2, go to "Jira Service Desk configuration" (add /secure/admin/SDConfiguration.jspa after your Jira URL), then change "Can customers create their own accounts?" to "No, only my team can create accounts".
