What reports or dashboards can be made available to customers on a customer portal?
Several of our clients are interested in a [potentially customizable] dashaboard analyzing tickets they've submitted over time. I envision this including resolution time data and SLA violations as well.
How would we implement that?

As Jack said, the portal is quite limited in this regard. You can check out the app we created - Advanced Portal Reports. It allows to various data, also show data like SLA times and also export to CSV, so from there I assume the customer can have some more reporting custom made in Excel. We are also in the process of extending the functionality to allow showing on the portal of the graphical reports available to service desk agents, but that is still under development.

none in OOTB Jira. You could consider setting up a PowerBI solution but that would not be in the Portal. You could also consider a different portal solution using the APIs and create your own.
