Hi,

assuming you want to install the latest Jira server (8.3.1) you could also enter: java --version

to make sure either a Java 8 or a Java 11 is installed.

Java version before 8, Java 9, 10 or 12 are not supported.

Best

One quick test - log into the server, then switch to the user that is running the Jira service.  As them, use "env | grep JAVA" to see what their default JVM is.  If it is set, amend their profile so that it is blanked out, removed, or set the JVM you want to use.

Hi,

so what is your java and Jira version? Which kind of java are you using - Oracle, OpenJDK or AdopOpenJDK? How did you install Jira - by installer or archive?
