Hi there,
You can indeed achieve that using ScriptRunner for Jira which among lots of other things allow you to implement fields that you can link to an AD.
This type of field is called Single LDAP Picker.
Let me know if it helped,
Guilhem
Hi Guilhem! Thanks! Yes is a good option, but we do not have ScriptRunner. Thanks!

You can automate routing of approvals to managers from Azure AD using the Multiplier plugin on Jira cloud:
This uses post functions to pull in the manager from AD and insert that into the Approvers field in Jira. See this for more details: https://docs.multiplierhq.com/article/18-how-to-route-jira-service-management-approvals-to-azure-ad-manager

Hello @Celeste D_Alessandro,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
Allow me to jump in and share with you a workaround where you can add a specific list of approvers. This, however, will only allow filtering users from a specific group on user management and works on Classic projects only.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Angélica
