Hello,
In my company (that we will name KD), we are using Jira service Desk with 20 licences for my service desk team.
My agents need have access and the ability to update all issues in all projects on Jira.
Today I have 3 new partners with 3 different users (User 1, User 2 and User 3) and I need that these 3 Users can Only access to a few projects with the same permissions that service desk team.
For example:
My agent need have access to projects P1, P2, P3, P4, P5 and P6
But User 1, User 2 and User 3 need have access to only P3 and P6
Thank you in advance for your help and time.
And sorry for my english.
There is a specific permission called Browser projects, you need to use this permission to give access to specific people of your choice.
You can modify your permission scheme and manually add people to this permission in your project permission scheme or better create a role like "Access Project" and give this permission to this new role, then moving forward whenever you need to give anyone access to that project, just add them to this role in your project and project role can also be managed by project administrators.
I hope it helps, refer to the link above to know more about it.
Ravi
Hi @Nassim Mnafeg ,
You could also set this up using synchronization, while configuring further customizations of these permissions for more advanced use cases.
For example, you could use synchronization if the User 1 needs to see only part of the issue (only specific fields). Or User 1 should only be able to update certain things only due to certain conditions while the agent has no limitations.
We are the developers of the sync-tool Exalate, which has the flexibility to set this up however would work for your use case. You can find out more about Exalate here.
If you would be interested in learning more on this option, we can set up a one-on-one demo here
Let me know if you have any other questions at all!
Cheers,
Stefaan

but.... @Nassim Mnafeg indicates that "...with the same permissions that service desk team". If indeed you mean with the "same" permissions then users 1,2,3 will need to be Service Desk Team role and they will be agents for P3 & P6.

Yes they also need to be agents.

Hey @Nassim Mnafeg - you'll want to create a different role for the new users that share some of the permissions but need to access different projects. Are you familiar with configuring permissions?

Hello,
Thank you everyone for your answers. It was very useful.
My solution: I created a specific group for the 3 external users and I managed permission in relevants projects. Now these 3 users can only access to thier project.
Regards
Nassim
