I have tried both but its not working.

You will need to give us proper detail

• What is the post-function supposed to do when it runs?
• What is the post-function - script, from an add-on, a core one, etc?
• What do you actually get (in both cases)
• Is there anything in the logs (in both cases)

What does "not working" mean?  Errors?  Logs?  Prevents create?  Please, at least tell us what happens?

"Set issue security level based on user's project role". This is the post function from add-on [ MISC workflow for jira ]

I have added Project Role and issue security level to create transition.

But its not working.
