Hi,
We have recently upgraded JIRA SD from an old version 2.x to our current version 3.14.2 and we found out that a feature just got missing.
When we "Click to add comment" on an existing issue, we used to have auto populated text:
Hi [reporter]
- [Person Triggering the comment]
Is there a way I can configure this again?
Cheers,
Jason
My pleasure.
It was news for me as well.
Hi @Danyal Iqbal,
Thanks for this. Looks like there is a new feature called "Canned responses" on the comments section.
So I created a template to using variables to match the reporter.
Its a nice feature but unfortunately it doesn't auto-populate, so I have to select the template each time I want to comment.
Thanks for your help,

It seems that the feature was removed.

Hi Danyan,
I did go into my own profile but only found 'preferences' with these options
We are using JIRA version 7.11.2. Maybe the settings changed?

This is an undesirable feature :)
go to your profile>prepopulating... and enable it again.
