A team I work with are using Grafana to monitor Hadoop and automatically post performance alerts to a slack channel. They want the process to be developed further so that an alert will trigger an automated issue to be created in their Jira project. They don't mind what part of the process triggers the issue creation, only that Jira sees an alert and then creates a task without the need for any user input.
I'm wondering if anyone's attempted anything similar before? Perhaps via an app or integration?
Hello @Laura Bennett ,
Maybe you could try having a look at Jira Automation Rules, that can automatically create an issue if you have the right trigger.
Regarding your problem, you could for instance create an issue when you receive a Webhook that could be sent by the alert for instance.
Let me know if it opens up a trail,
Guilhem
Thanks @Guilhem Dupuy I'll check with the team and see if they can set up a webhook we can use as a trigger
