Hello,
I cannot seem to find the functionality to block views to internal comments to a permission scheme.
Is this something that can be done?
We have some users we want to be able to view and comment only on a project, but not be able to view internal comments from our help desk users.
Hi @Timothy Green If you are using Jira Service Desk then what you are asking for is the default functionality.
If you are using Jira Software or Jira Core then the solution is to restrict individual comment visibility rather than via the permission scheme. Those comments that are restricted to a group or role to which the user is a member will not be visible to others outside the group or project role.
This can be as simple as restricting a given comment's visibility to the project's Developer role (assuming that only internal team members are in that role).
if a user has Browse permissions they can see all comments.

and w/o Browse permissions they will see nothing.
also, you show this under Jira but seems you are speaking of JSD?
