CPU spiking more than 300% in a 2 node geo-cluster HA setup

Hello,

We currently have a 2 node cluster that are separated across two different data centers. Ever since we got this to production, our CPU is spiking up more than 300%. We identified this could potentially be due to Cluster lock but not sure if this is really the problem. I was just wondering if anyone can provide some feedback/suggestions/recommendations on this problem. Thank you so much in advance!!

Atlassian data centre is not suitable for geo-clustering (yet).

Your instincts about a cluster lock are probably good, it probably is the latency between the data centres.  The installation guide for DC clearly state that all nodes should be in the same physical location.
