Can I change a screen from a Screen Scheme without losing data from existing issues?

I want to alter some screens for one of our issue type, and while normally I would add the fields on the current screen, this time this won't be possible.

Can I create a mirror screen make the modifications(add fields) and then switch the screens on the Screen Scheme without losing data on the fields?(All the existing fields will be kept)

The way I understand it, the field data is kept even if the field is not on the screen. I just want to confirm because we can't lose the data on these old issues.

Hi Luiz - Yes, that is correct, none of the data will be lost.  :-)

You would still be able to do searches, filters, etc. with those fields even though they are not on the screen.
